Equestrian College

Hi everyone!
I wanted some input on the right college for me.
I'm going to go into college to be a DVM majoring in equine and exotic animals. I also want to be apart of the equestrian team for eventing.
A strong equine program and intimidating equestrian team are very important to me in a college.
I would like to have a US college somewhere near Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, or the states to the sides.
Know of any suggestions?

My advice to you is go to the college that you get accepted to that will be able to give you the most bang for your buck and that has the strongest pre-vet program you can find. Worry about the equestrian team part later. Getting into vet school is even harder than getting into Med school since there are fewer programs so your priority needs to be an extremely high gpa and relevant experience in the veterinary world, that will already take up a ton of your time.

In addition, you will be hard pressed to find a collegiate eventing team. There is no real national collegiate eventing association like there is for the IHSA (équitation) and the IDA (dressage). There are a few eventing "teams" at some schools and they do an intercollegiate invitational but it is nowhere near as organized or prolific as those other two. Luckily, a huge number of schools have an IHSA program so you should certainly be able to find a team where you can take lessons and maybe show.

My school, University of Maryland, has a very new eventing team and they mostly take lessons at a local event barn and sometimes attend local events as well as the intercollegiate invitational but the most successful girls have their own horses and compete with their own coaches outside the team.

ETA: Here are the links to the USEA's collegiate opportunities so you can look through what some of these programs look like:
