Hey guys,
Ive been looking for a while now for an eventing idol who has a similar background as me.
I have many idols including Charlotte Dujaridan, Maya Black, Tamie Smith, Lauren Keiffer, and Ainsley Jacobs.
I'm looking for another
-female
-wasn't 'born in the saddle'
-fell in love with eventing as young teen
-loves animals
Mary King is one of my favourites, a great rider and not from a horsey family - she just rode whatever she could get her hands on and really got into it in her teens
I looked into Mary King and sure seems to be a good person to looo up to! Do you know where I could find out more about her background. I haven't found much so far.
Lizzy Traband is a really neat rider. I've seen her speak at expos and demonstrate her abilities. She was pretty much born in the saddle but she's really overcome some obstacles and she's a neat rider/person.
Elisa Wallace. She's been riding since a very very young age, her father is an Eventer also. She's competed at the 4 star level - Rolex, Burghley, etc. and trains OTTBs and Mustangs. I absolutely LOVE her.
Roman,
That's pretty cool! I always wished my mom was a horse person. But she's not....
Does anyone know of any rising eventing legends who weren't born in a saddle?
