Call It A Slim Friday Night Conversations

Before Fat Tuesday. Anyone giving some thing up for Lent? how do you normally fair?

How are things with you? Don't need to be an expert handicapper to give low odds on wet. I'm beginning to sound like Forrest Gump. Big ole drop rain, sideways rain.

What are you looking forward to/plans this weekend besides wringing out your socks? Seriously I'm over standing water.

What's for supper? Your favorite question asker is having grilled cheese, tomato gravy, and fried ham.

One thing I do look forward to on Friday is the On The Road segment with Steve Hartman on the CBS evening new. Don't watch the news, just check YouTube after to see. If you watch them what are some of your favorites?

JC Penny announced lots of store closings and I realized I can't remember the last time I went to one.

What else is in your mind?

I forgot to say I'm looking forward to the Fountain Of Youth Saturday at Gulfstream and Winx tonight down under. See Horse Talk for information.

A horse named Hidden Scroll is a heavy favorite in the Fountain. Could be really something. Wasn't me who picked up on him early. @corba had the keen eye on this one.

Happy Friday! :)

Crappy weather, again. Snowed a bit last night, not much though. Gonna rain tonight, then snow Sunday. Yay...not. I want the ground to be normal again!

Dinner, not sure. Might go to Longhorn Steakhouse. We have a gift card from Christmas we need to use!

I'm watching a show on Netflix, just started it...it's called The Sinner. It's CRAZY, so twisted, but good so far. I'm dying to get home so I can watch the next episode.

Ride more, worry less.

Yay! Friday! More snow and arctic temps where Im at! We're over 2 ft at the moment, snowed a good 6" last night, snowing now, and another 3"+ tonight. High over the weekend is -5F getting down to -25F at night! Horses pretty much hang out in the run in and barn and do nothing but eat hay when it gets this cold.

I cannot believe we're into March already!! Where is time going?! Plans for the weekend are staying inside, staying warm and probably finding things to clean, kids rooms are a straight up disaster! Why must my 4yr old already try on everything and just throw it on the floor until she finds what she wants?!

Dinner is looking like Parmesan chicken, cheddar biscuits and no clue on the rest at the moment.

It snowed again this morning, and the drifts ahead of the library are so high from last week's blizzard I can't see the vehicles in the parking lot. I hope our snow for the weekend is done, because it's supposed to get cold and windy, and even a small amount will blow and fill in all of the roads, sidewalks, driveways, and other cleared areas quickly again. We had to put down our 16 y.o. dog this week, and we're both still heartbroken. We decided to head out for a quick vacation as I have vacation days to use before June and my work substitute is actually available next week, so hopefully the weather holds and my mom can get here to house/dogsit. She's bringing her dog as our remaining dog, aged 12, has never been alone and is having a hard time without another dog in the house. He also adores my mom, so the change of pace will be good for him, too. Good thoughts for a safe trip, no car trouble, and good weather would be appreciated!

I am sorry about the dog. :(

Letís see... today my oldest is leaving to snowboard and my youngest and I played around with the animals as the morning feels nice.

Last night I had a dream that I was at the races. I texted @aubie to ask him to write up a ticket for me. In this dream he magically knew all the horses and gave me the names to bet. I won over a million dollars! Lol. It was nice. I forgot all about it until I read his post.

Yeah, my parents told me to watch True Detective. That'll be my next show to watch!

@SilverMaple , I'm very sorry to hear that about your dog. 16 years old though wow, that is a pretty long life. I know it is hard to lose a pet.

Aren't we all so over winter?!! Between the snow & rain, I am!

Ride more, worry less.
