February 14th Friday Night Conversation

Hello everyone. How are you? Cold here by not raining for the moment. The snow of last week is long gone, only lasted a day. Hope things are good where you are.

What is for supper. I have some stew meat that will end up in some sort of concoction. Not sure exactly what yet. What are your plans? For the weekend?

So far I am only a little behind today. I always plan to be done with everything by lunch on Friday, in time for early races. So only have to go to the post office and bank left. I may cheat and drop it off at the box at my local grocery store. But if I go to the post office, there is a Popeyes nearby and will get some chicken sandwiches.

Shamrock shakes are back on the 19th. Much better news than the return of Mcrib.

No real kick of questions this week as we have really done so well just going with it. If you are new this is your week.

Anything and everything welcome.

Yeah, they keep talking about this thing called "Valentine's Day" on the news this morning. I guess it's another one of those Hallmark holidays. No V-Day plans here.

My daughter has a four-day weekend but she's got so much homework she decided we wouldn't go see the horses today. She had been looking forward to it, too. IDK, maybe she'll get to a place where she feels like she's done enough, and then we'll go. I feel bad for her having so much homework, but she's in eighth grade and apparently they get a lot of projects assigned to them at this point.

No plans other than work this evening. Not even plans for dinner, the family usually chooses what to do for dinner last minute. It's Valentine's but that's only important to me insofar as there's candy and chocolate around to snack on. I don't put any stock in it otherwise. I'll probably write some and maybe read a bit until it's time for work and after that I tend to go straight to bed after cleaning up since I usually get home too late to lounge around afterwards.

The Shamrock shake is indeed more exciting news than the McRib. I can't, for the life of me, understand what's the hubbub with that. It tastes terrible and is worse than McDonald's usual fair. Anything made on your own grill is going to be much better.

Cold but dry here. Little ice this morning.

I'm pretty irritated right now. Took my car for oil change and inspection this morning and they told me right away that it wouldn't pass because of the two front tires and the wiper blades. So now I have to find money to buy new tires and blades before the inspection can be done. I already had to drive 2 hours away to get the inspection because of the stupid emissions testing requirement in the county it's registered in.

In better news I have a chiropractor appointment this afternoon so hopefully will get a bit of pain relief.

No idea for dinner and even if we did celebrate Valentines Day we wouldn't get to do anything because I'm out of town and my SO went back on days so he has to go to bed almost right as he gets home anyway.

We've storm Dennis heading our way for the weekend. I'll wait to see what the weather is like before i make plans, as there are yellow and amber warnings for wind and rain in our area. It's due to be with us for three days and I'm not sure how much the fields and roads can take after ten days of rain and severe gales. It is our stormy time of year and they think there will be another one next weekend.

I've been fighting either a very bad head cold or a mild flu the last few days. I was off yesterday as i was aching all over but i had to go to a training session this morning. I left early in the afternoon to head home and I've spent most of the afternoon sleeping. Despite a thumping headache, I am beginning to feel a little more human.

No Valentines day plans either! I'll snuggle up with some hot soup, chicken and steamed veg for supper LOL!

I am super glad it is Friday. Only b/c I am looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. This week has felt really long, although I was in the city yesterday for work and that is always exhausting.

I am approved to work full time from home, but I still like to go into the office on occasion to see everyone. But those are long days as I am up at 4am and I didn't get home until 7:30pm.

I was going to go into town today after work and pick up insulation so I could start insulating the gooseneck part of my horse trailer. But after being in the car for 6 hours yesterday I don't feel like driving anywhere.

Haha..Valentine's is such a crock. I am not single, but we don't celebrate it or do anything for it. Although I may make b/f a roast in the slow cooker for his dinner. I don't eat meat, so I have no idea what I will eat for dinner. I could have soup to be honest - maybe some homemade broccoli/cheddar soup? Yum.

This weekend is up in the air. No idea what is going on. The idea of going for another trail ride was thrown around, but I'm not sure if I have lessons or not. Someone might drive down here tomorrow to buy a saddle i have for sale, but nothing is set in stone. Guess I will be spontaneous and just go with whatever happens!

@Caledonian Hopefully it is just a bad cold from doing the power washing and playing in the water. LoL Get well soon.

Nothing going on here today either. A dusting of snow this morning and somewhat cold this morning.

Turns out my surname is more than likely from Ireland not Scotland. Now to figure out what Irish clan as there is matching spelling of the surname. I got an idea but need to do more homework on that.
