Happy Wednesday, July 1, 2020

Morning Everyone!

Any plans for the day?

I actually have the day off. A rare thing for me to not work 6 days. Unfortunately the wind is still blowing pretty bad so I doubt I’ll be outside much.

I'm on vacation for a few days. I spent the first two doing absolutely nothing other than regular chores. The rest of the week is going to be spent on tearing down acoustic tiles from dining room ceiling, prepping walls and ceiling for painting and then painting the walls in the living room and dining room. Also the trim work is going to be done. I needed a couple of days just laying around and eating. Now I'm revved to go.

Well last Sunday neighbor came over and wanted me to call her hubby so he could call her sister to bring a key as she had locked herself out of the house.
I just handed the phone to her to just call her sister. She said she was sick and I said I can wipe the phone off no problem. Which I did with a Lysol wipe then washed my hands and then used sanitizer . Seen her hubby out later that day and asked why he was home since he had left Friday for a week of boy scout camping. He told me she had been running a fever for 2 days had been to the hospital and they did a covid test, sent her home and told her to come back if she started having trouble breathing.

So I am thinking oh blank. I have been exposed. then late Wednesday morning her car was gone and I am thinking they loaded her up to take her to the hospital. I was talking to my daughter on the phone and she was telling me they were going to have cake and Ice cream for me Sunday and I explained to her the situation. looked out and her car was backing out of their drive and headed back up the road.

An hour later her husband called and told me the Covid test came back negative and they wanted to see her again to find out why she was running a temp. They thought it was an UTI.

Felt like a 1000 lb. weight was lifted off me. LOL....
Then early evening the one son and family came and brought me a Chocolate Milkshake. Extra thick.

So now the cake and ice cream is back on for Sunday's little B*Day get together.

My Wednesday was great. I took my filly out for a morning ride while it was cool and she was doing fabulous . Picking up neck rienng very well, calm with good head set and completely relaxed, great transitions so we did a ride of every pasture on the place. Crossed creeks several times and dry crossings over and over Rode about an hour and a half.. I was so pleased when we came back I didn't even ride her in the pen. Soon as we closed the gate I loosened the cinch and took her over and unsaddled her. Ended just the way I like to end on a good note.
