Homesteading / hobby farming forums?

I've seen a lot of forums online for homesteading or hobby farming, but none of them seemed to be what I was looking for.

Can anyone recommend one? I'm looking for something like Horse Forum, where there are friendly, knowledgeable people who post thoughtful, well-written responses to questions, and don't snip at newbies who don't know everything.

You could actually start a thread and ask questions. There are many here with varied backgrounds that could likely answer your questions. I don't know if Mother Earth News would have a forum but you could look them up. The Permaculture people may have a forum.

Some horse people change their horse, they change their tack and discipline, they change their instructor; they never change themselves.

Farm Forum would be a good place to put it.

Not forum, but Deep South homestead on YouTube is very popular. They talk to some of the others. Seems to be sense of community that may know of actual online communities.
