No Clydesdales Or Puppies

From bud again this year. More political nonsense. But never fear, Sam is here.

Whelllll - much as I adore Tom Selleck, Sam Elliott is the one I might really be interested in riding off into the sunset with ó- heís only three years older than me but darn, heís still married to Kathryn Ross, lollol.

I say all that because I had to, even if it is a poor Segway into the fact that I didnít get the commercial - I-had-to-google-it, lollol

Hereís the explanation for anyone else who might be interested. Leave it to Doritos to come up something way out in left field.

Had anyone else but Sam Elliott done this commercial, I would have said itís the stupidest thing anyone could have come up with. BUT óó Sam Elliott can absolutely do no wrong.

As a sidebar, I wish he and Tom Selleck would make another western together. They are both great riders and actors:)

<sigh> maybe, but this is one of those things I wouldnít have understood, if I was 20, lol

I have always thought Doritos has stupid commercials; maybe Iím just not intellectual enough, lollol.

I agree with @AnitaAnne , bring back the Clydesdales and puppies. Cows and goats would work, too:)

The Geico woodchucks and raccoons arenít bad <<< desperation setting in, lollol

To whom it may concern

Reference the Dorito commercial you produced for Super Bowl. Instead of paying millions of dollars for the running of a commercial nobody understands. Save a million and donate the rest to charities such as Shriners Hospitals or St. Jude's children's Hospital or other national charity or organizations to help victims of natural disasters.

You will get far more free press coverage for your product than a 30 second commercial.

The woodchucks are really old now. They are more than likely making canes out of the wood and have seeing eye raccoons. Also remember the squirrels that would wait for a car run out in front of it and the car crashes?

I knew a woman one time who dodged a raccoon with her husband and kids in the car. Did almost $5000. dollars damage to the car and she had a black eye and rest of the family got bruised and sore.

So moral of the story is an expensive car with people in it goes over a 25 cent raccoon one time..

And this is why you can't watch the superbowl for the ads any more.. because the ads are either incomprehensible or else plain dumb. Even during normal TV viewing, DH and I are often left asking how someone could have paid money to produce most of the ads.

I miss the Clydes and the puppies..
