I would like to shake the whole lot of them until their teeth rattle LOL. I don't have any problem believing some thing is buried there but who knows what. I certainly do not think it's the Ark of the Covenant, LOL LOL

I keep thinking back to one part of the series where they talked about the boy in the 1700s that became suddenly rich and bought up a lot of land on that island. He had to of found something and he just kept it all to himself, whatever it was that he found.

The Lagina (sp?) brothers from Michigan have buchu dollars into this search. I can't believe they would sink that much money into something without having some sort of positive proof there are riches to be found -- or there used to be riches to be found LOL LOL

I agree with you they spend 40 some minutes talking a bout the last three episodes and then they only give you a five minute tease about what they're actually looking out to date. And let's not forget all the commercials in between so you really don't learn my child anything.

Tonight:

1. A Charlie Brown Christmas, ABC, 7:00 Central.

2. Followed by the movie "same time next Christmas" with Lea Michele.

Oak Island drives me nuts. The narrator.... ugh. "Could it be? A piece of wood? With a metal nail in it? Found in a hole in the ground?" Gah! Everything is not a question!!!

I have Charlie Brown set to record, and the National Finals Rodeo. Have to go to a parade after work tonight. DH's middle school band is playing.

We have a pile of Christmas DVDs we watch every year at least once. So far, I've gone through Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, The Grinch (original animated one) and the Christmas Carol with George C. Scott.

Not a Disney fan really but their animated A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey of all people was really well done. Great visual.

I still watch “Home Alone” with McCauley Caulken.
Christmas At Dollywood wasn't what I was thinking it would be or title suggests. Hallmark should have been my first clue.

Excuse me for being naughty, but... the thread title reminds me of an "alternative version" of that Christmas Carol that lurks in the Australian culture - does it also lurk in yours?

Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer
Had a very shiny gun
And if you ever saw him
You would turn around and run

All of the other reindeer
Used to laugh and call him names
So Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer
(shot them, with very naughty references to their brains which it is uncouth to repeat)

We also have an alternative version of our Waltzing Matilda, but it is too rude to post. Nevertheless, it is often heard when people are made to sing it on a public occasion...
