Hmm... my winter is an odd one here too. The week has been fairly warm, but I have been sick so Iíve been stuck inside. My little girl finally is on the mend, so of course it was my turn. I havenít done much yet this morning, but just maybe I am feeling a bit better myself!

I have to get my oldest on a bus for her weekend games, which may be tough because many on her team are sick. I guess somewhere there was some sort of a warning for people not to come to our town! Of course though, we will take the bug to them. ;)

Other than that my day has no interesting plans. I am excited for Sunday, because a friend brought his girlfriend to my parents to do chiropractic work on the horses. She was very good. I have never seen someone I was so impressed with, but I didnít have extra money sitting around to have mine done. Well, the truck broke down while they were there. Husband fixed the truck, so in return they are going to do my horses. Exciting right?

Pancakes! Or Drop Scones as my mum often calls them. I've never had them for breakfast though, they're something we have after the main meal or as a sweet snack, usually with butter and/or jam.

I've nothing exciting planned for the weekend. I promised to meet some friends at my local farmers' market for a bit of shopping and lunch. Also, I started spring cleaning my house during the week and quickly started regretting it LOL. Now that I've started, I'll need to finish, so I'm planning to do another room at the weekend.

Our winter as been mild. We had our first snow late on Monday night. It was beautiful to see but by Tuesday morning it was brown slush and by lunchtime, it was gone. We're back to sunshine and showers and a mild 12 C/54F.

Happy Friday everyone!

Happy Friday All!! Woot Woot! Been a very busy hectic week.

@Knave - I hope you feel better soon! Nothing like the fighting the crud...

@Caledonian - Pretty picture....

Yes it's been a very mild winter but lots of rain... supposed to rain again tonight.

Not much planned... going to be travelling the next few weeks so going to get a lot of loving in on my animals and cleaning for the animal/house sitter... I'm excited I'll be going to Dublin for a few days! I'm going to try to take a drive up to Belfast as I've always wanted to go there.

I broke my pinky a few weeks ago, didn't really want to go to the doctor because all they would do was splint it which I had already did. But I went a few days ago because bumping it was hurting and since I will be traveling wanted to make sure it wasn't too bad. I go to the doc in a box and yep they just splint it but it was a better splint with more protection and cushion, but then they recommended going to an ortho doc... it's a pinky for cripes sake!!

@lb27312 that sounds so exciting! Iím sorry about the pinky; I would have done the same thing.

Waffles!

I have been having a hard week (mainly arguing with my dad), getting yelled at by gym folks for not having an instructor for a class that doesn't exist, so busy, so tired. But I skated for the first time in 4+ months and felt good, and I'm going down to once a week on PT, and today is Friday and therefore horse day. I go for a massage tomorrow, a swim clinic in the evening. Football has never particularly interested me, I might give it a casual glance, or I might go out with a friend.

I am not impressed with this winter. It's been far too mild. I'm worried we'll end up getting blasted late in the season and it'll be a cold spring - I have two open water swim races in June, and I'd prefer not turning into a Badgersicle.

This week has been kind of a downer. I am also sick so energy level has not been great and not being able to sleep at night really sucks. Still trying to get my time in with the horses though. I had ordered a halter/bridle and it arrived in the mail this week. So last night i took the horse for a short ride to try it out.

Mmm..pancakes for sure! With maple syrup - yum!!

No Superbowl for me. We don't have cable, but I don't follow American Football anyway. Couldn't even tell you who is in the Superbowl or even who is playing the half time show. I have seen a few of the ads though and they are funny.

No idea what is for dinner tonight. Probably a bagel and cream cheese as I am sick and lazy. B/F is leaving this afternoon for a fishing tournament on a nearby lake. I think he is gone all weekend, so might be a good weekend to catch up on sleep and try to get healthy again.

I am planning on taking my mare for another walk/run down the road after work. It is good for both of us - I just have to be extra careful as the roads are getting VERY icy out there!!
