Tornado warning & watch - again

My SE Middle Tennessee County is under tornado watch until 10:00 PM.

Further East is Under a tornado warning. They are telling folks NOT to get on I-24 east toward Chattanooga or you’ll drive right into it.

The Huntsville, AL radar is where this is all coming from. Which, northern Alabama isn’t looking too good either.

I said all that to say, at some point folks, please check in:)

My horses asked to come in the barn at 6:30 so I knew something was cooking without even looking at my weather app. Evidently last year’s violent hail storm episode that re-fractured Joker’s back was not something they want to repeat.

We are in the midst of more frog-strangling rain - my big manure pile in the far pasture is surrounded by a moat again, lol. I’m ecstatic if all we get is a lot of rain. We sit high and it will drain fast - into my neighbor’s pond which is already big enough to canoe in, lollol.

I hope everyone and your critters stay safe:)

My county just missed the tornado(es)... I have heard that the county next to us had at least 1 tornado confirmed on the ground. Haven't heard anything about what/how much damage or exactly where. Hopefully everyone is safe. All we got was more rain, not much wind. I will still have to check for any tree damage tomorrow. Wishing everyone a safe night....

Hope all stay safe! We just had a big storm come thru here, was loud but fairly quick. Dumped a lot of rain. Been having rain everyday, but tomorrow is looking better.

I'm too tire to stay up and worry about it though.

G'night all, I will check back in in the morning. Weird world we live in right now...

I'm sorry @Walk . I don't "like" that post, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you and the horses are safe.

Good morning all. Several loud thunderstorms last night, but the trees mostly held onto their limbs so must not have been too windy. Even with two ibuprofen, I had a hard time sleeping. Good thing I'm off today...

As to the horses, Sassy was left up, Lacy runs to shelter when she hears thunder and remained dry, Chivas...he is a unique one. Usually I find him wet after rains, even storms, but this morning found him dry on top, wet belly and legs

@walkinthewalk how is everything up there?

Good morning all:)

Thank you everyone for your concern for all of us living in the newly named tornadoes zone called “Dixie Alley”.

We made it through with hardly any wind but enough rain that we have mini ponds in places I’ve never seen them before.

My horses probably need hearing aids after the long stretch of pounding rain on the metal barn roof. The roof is insulated but not good enough for sound.

There was allegedly a tornado that slid a few miles below us, easterly, then curved north up toward Sewanee/Monteagle. I did not hear of any storm damage, so hopefully it either didn’t touch down or went across the non-populated area up on the Plateau.

That, or damage was so slight, the Covid19 coverage took precedence:(

So, other than being slightly waterlogged, we are thankfully doing well:):)
