Same here!
Hubby was home for a few days, left this morning. He swapped out the batteries on the flatbed pickup, sharpened my axe I use to chop ice out of the creek for the cows, made his famous biscuits and gravy while I was out feeding cows and offered to help come feed.
He is pretty awesome, when he comes home he always offers to to take me out to dinner although he eats out all the time. But I like to cook for him when he's home! Lol!

We were going to go have "Valentine dinner" but didn't want to deal with the bad weather driving in town this last weekend.

Even though I insist not to, he always has flowers sent on Valentine's and our wedding anniversary.
Still makes me feel special :)

My husband is deathly allergic to chocolate and nuts; I can not live without them, lol. I will eat anything chocolate, but prefer just a plain White and Day Organic chocolate bar....

We are so romantic here...I shovel 💩at the barn all day, he drives all day....I just want to sit and read for a while, he sits in his recliner and answers emails from work....🥳🥳🥳

The distillery 2 1/2 hours away scheduled a mandatory safety meeting on Valentines Day for anyone doing work there (at a different facility, a guy fell through a catwalk to his death....I guess they are going to show them how to walk on the railings🐈😂😂) , so he will be up there all day. Hopefully, he will bring home bourbon!!

We donít get paid until midnight Thursday, so no gifts until Friday anyway....We go to karaoke on Friday night at a restaurant, so that will be our dinner out.

I don't break horses, I FIX them!

A pizza place here is making heart shaped pizzas on V Day.

We went out for supper at our favorite casual Mexican restaurant tonight. We learned long ago that trying to go out to eat on Valentine's Day was not something our introverted selves could handle. Lines and waits EVERYWHERE! So we go on some other night. I work tomorrow until 8 pm. It's just another day. We exchange cards and maybe a small thing-- I got him a new belt he needs, he got me some chocolate and a little stuffed horse.

My husband usually brings me candy (and brings candy for the kids too) or flowers. I love getting flowers. My favorite are roses because I'm not allergic to them and, even more important, the cats don't try to eat them!

My sister used to work as a hostess at a really nice restaurant. Every year, just before Valentine's day people would call and say, "I want to make a reservation for Valentine's day". She told me she always wanted to reply, "No you don't!" Valentine's day was always horribly busy and the restaurant was packed and very loud. She said people should pick another night if they want a romantic evening.

I am with you guys about doing things being more important than gifts, but I have to say that today husband came home with a jar of honey. I am running out, and I was going to buy a new jar on payday. I was disappointed because I use it everyday and didnít want to be out. I didnít whine or anything, but today when he came home he tossed me the jar. It was the perfect gift!

I did buy him a gift. I bought him a new Navajo blanket because I found some good deals on some and he could use a new one. Iím pretty sure his is about 20 years old.
