This Weeks New Friday Night Conversation

Hello all. Hope things are going well for you. Not that we are down to talking about the weather, but it's supposed to be rough in some spots this weekend. Let us know what is going on there.

Plans for the evening? Weekend?

Supper?

In a little while I will be making a small trip to have lunch with my aunt and uncle. It's seafood so that's all good. Not quite as far as the trips my dad and I would make to the Dillared House. This place gets fresh seafood from the gulf, so I am bringing home some shrimp.

That's going to take up a while but I will be back.

I do want to say how nice it is to see not just this one but the conversations picking up.

I don't have much as for as kick off topics. That never have I ever was going to be my big move this week. But it great it has its own thing.

So fire away what's on your mind.

Shrimp - I - LOVE - shrimp. So much so that I made myself a little allergic to it when I was in my 20's, lol lol

"Once upon a Time" in the mid-70's, when I lived in the Shenango Valley, PA, there was a steak/seafood restaurant by the name of "Three By The River" because it was owned by three ex-military buddies.

Every Wednesday night was all you can eat shrimp - you get the picture, lollol

I can still it shrimp if I only eat it once or twice a month, otherwise it may be a trip to the ER, lol.

Weather: blah, blah, and blah! We hooked the heated tubs up last weekend as the weather folks forewarned us. 20-something degrees last night with highs only in the 40's today is still a slap in the face, lol. This is January-February weather for us -- and why I left PA in the first place -- I feel like Bill Maur (sp?) in "Groundhog Day", lol.

No supper plans, no weekend plans, just go with the flow this weekend and maybe catch up on some stuff on the DVR - the season seven premier of "The Curse Of Oak Island" for starters:)

Does anyone watch "The Masked Singer" on Fox? I love that show:)

Happy Friday all!!! I'm home for a while!! Woohoo!! Did catch a cold while I was travelling.... so fighting that now.

It's going to be cold here tonight, mid 20's but warming up over the weekend. Plan to ride Sunday, tomorrow night going to the Duke Classic Jump for the Children. I've never jumped but like cow work these horses are sooo athletic it's a sight to watch. I hold my breath for a lot of it. Looking forward to it and an evening with friends.

Going with a friend for lunch, going to get enough to have leftovers for dinner. Staying in tonight with a fire.... Any ideas on what to binge watch?? Any appreciated!

I would say 'Yay, it's Friday!' but I've a few hours work to do this evening and over the weekend, as it's Remembrance Sunday; a time when we commemorate military and civilian men and women from the wars. Plus, I've a few related events to organise for the start of next week. I've nothing else planned.

Supper is going to be home made soup, salmon and vegetables, then i'm going to park myself in front of the fire and tv with my laptop and answer emails.

The weather has been cold and sunny today about 6C/42F and I think the weekend is be the same. The last two days have been miserable with freezing winds and rain.

I hope everyone has a good weekend

Happy Friday
Its cold!
Two of our horses have blanket clips because they were too hot not that long ago and the others are refusing to grow anything that resembles a decent winter coat so last night I was digging out their lightweight blankets for today. Don't need them to have any excuse for a mass rebellion!
We couldn't remember what belonged to who, apart from J who has a bigger size and one needed a minor repair (procrastination) so made a mental note that I must do better before next year.

Had our annual trip to the Equine Affaire yesterday and have to say that for the first time ever we came away feeling rather disappointed. Maybe going on the opening day was a mistake, we've never done that before.

Just winging it is not a plan

Happy Friday! I hope you enjoy lunch, thatíll be nice! Yummy!

I have good news, I finally got a new job & I start Monday! Itís a bigger firm, better EVERYTHING! So Iím super excited. :) Thanks everyone for your support, as getting let go outta nowhere was pretty devastating. But things always workout in the end. Everything happens for a reason! It was a blessing in disguise.

Not doing too much this weekend. Did a lot of riding this week, gonna ride this weekend & probably hit the trails again. Nothing too exciting going on.

So many leaves!
@walkinthewalk I LOVE the masked singer. Such a good show! Iím convinced thatís the leopard is Seal.

Cold here too at night lately. And DARK! Ugh!!

Gonna blanket tonight, itíll be below freezing. But then tomorrow & all weekend itís gonna be in the 45/50ís so Iíll take Ďem off.

Congratulations on your new job! We can never see the benefit of unexpectedly losing a job when we are in the middle of not having any money. Once the crisis has ended, hopefully sooner than later, we can look back and see it was a good thing after all. I am really happy for you

Seal's a good guess for the Leopard! I think the Fox is Jaimie Fox and the Lady Bug could be Jennifer Hudson.

The Lady Bug sang Aretha Franklin's "Think" as good as Aretha Franklin could, plus I saw a blurp on TV that talked about Jennifer Hudson playing Aretha in an upcoming movie. Jennifer in Aretha makeup for that movie looks eerily like Aretha.

That all said, the only one I've guessed correctly in two seasons was Paul Shaffer, the Skeleton, lollol
