If I had readily available pictures of my horses hooves and leg shots, my farrier had trimmed my horses feet to his tendons needs, not for appearance of the hooves. My horse has a slightly shorter cannon on one leg than the other, and if he would have trimmed the same on each side, one set of tendons would be permanently stretching.
Hooves are often trimmed for the legs that they are on, not just the appearance that you ideally would want.
