Harwood, ND Horse Boarding

We have a seven-stall horse barn and are starting to rent out the stalls. Our prices are as follows, but are negotiable.

It really depends on the work that we need to do for the horse. If you want to just board the horse in our barn, we would charge $160 a month. That would mean that you would come and clean the stall, feed the horse on a daily basis and work with the horse.

If you wanted us to clean the stall and provide the grain and the hay, the price would be higher.

As for grain... The average price for a 50LB bag of rolled barley corn is about $15.00/bag. The premixed feeds such as purina, ace high, etc run about $15-20.00 per bag and if you feed about 1.5 lbs per day, so roughly, one bag per month. If your horse is a harder keeper then you feed more.

Hay would run around $80 for a large round bale. This should last a month - two months.

There would also would be bedding needed for the horse. Wood chip mulch works the best and I would say would run around $20-$30 a month.

So, if we provided the grain, hay and bedding for the horse, we are looking at around $80 per month give or take. With another $50 for gas and time to go and get the supplies

So, then we are up to $290 per month. This is assuming that you would come out to feed the horse on a daily basis and cleaned the stall.

If we cleaned the stall, fed the horse on a daily basis and provided the hay, grain and bedding, the fee would be $350 per month.

We are willing to negotiate some. Let me know what you are thinking and what you would need us to do. We can be reached at [email protected] or by phone at 701-492-9244.

Thank You!!
