Thank you for the info. Yes it must be the foalert lol. I couldn't place it it almost looked like an inner part but it just looked so strange lol I see it now!

Sorry, I tend to assume it makes sense if it makes sense to me haha- what is the pH test telling you and what are you looking for in regards to the ph?

But yes, a buckskin colt would be wonderful! Do your plans change based off the color or just the gender? It's so interesting how you want one thing from one breeding and another from another one!

For the Ph she has been stubbornly holding at 7.4 (I didn't test her yesterday or today yet) and I am wanting to to drop to 6.8 or under to start getting excited.

And plans do change a little off of color and gender right off the bat. A filly, regardless of color, from this cross will probably be held onto as a possible future broodmare but not have the same amount of extensive training that a palomino or buckskin colt will. If I get a gold colt then he will be my next stud prospect and will have a very extensive training and show career. Sadly looking at the market today (and by currently promoting a sorrel stud) a colored, well bred, 5 panel NN colt with even a small amount of earnings is easier to market than a bay or sorrel of equal or greater caliber IMO.

Continuing with that changing wish list, I really want fillies from my stud. I am more of a mare person in general but I also want to then be able to get a nice broodmare band together of his fillies.

And we have true, good looking WAX!!!!! Still pretty clear but hoping that changes throughout the day. Either way she’s not getting turned out without supervision anymore!

Still no baby. No idea how she is managing it but, she is. Still waxing but the Ph is steady at 7.4. Foal was kicking up near the top of her hip last night and she was more active last night than normal. Ugh. Good milk veins though...

Every time I look on the camera I think the same thing! I really thought that she was going to have it last night. She was rolling, pacing, pawing, the whole gambit until about 11 and she settled down and finished her dinner like nothing was happening.

Ha! Laela did that to me night after night and then on the night that she seemed pretty chill she had her foal
