Question for AQH and APH people

My mom just bought a new Paint horse named Southern Scamp. I was told he has good breeding. I am unfamiliar with AQH and APH bloodlines being a TWH girl myself, so I thought I'd throw it out there and see if any of the AQH and APH people on the forum know anything. His sire is an APH named Southern Sockett and his ****'s sire is an AQH named Red Sonny Dee. Can anyone tell me about these horses? Thanks!

Southern Sockett Paint
For better reference, here is the sire's page

Red Sonny Dee Quarter Horse
Here is the dam.

Well, I can tell you that the dam has some knock out bloodlines worth some money.

As for the sire, I am not very familiar with more of the paint lines, but almost any time you see some "Bar" in there, it is a good thing.

He's got decent lines, both Sonny Dee Bar and Sockett are well known names within the stock horse world, but I don't think it's anything to write home about. It's kinda like saying my horse is related to Impressive or Man O' War, both of those horses are in a lot of the QH, paint, and appy lines.

He has mostly show bloodlines, lots of halter and western pleasure stuff. Probably would make a nice show horse lol. He has some good show horse names in there. I barrel race, but i do know some show horses.

quarter horses.....simply the best

Thanks for your responses everyone! Like I said I have no clue about either AQH's or APH and you guys definately helped! It will be fun learning more about AQH and paint bloodlines. I'm a geek for that stuff.
