Hi this is my horse, Macey. She is going to be 2 in February and i was hoping you could critique her conformation good/bad. Im hoping to do show her in some production classes next show season. I plan on training and showing her western pleasure, showmanship, and halter. But was wondering if shed do better as a jumper. What do you think?
Yeah, I would lean more towards western events with her, also.
She's bum high, but as a filly, it might even out with age. However, I don't seeing her growing completely out of it. Slightly sickle-hocked, perhaps. Odd angle to the pasterns.
As a besides, how is she for HYPP? Kid Clu is N/H, I believe. Who's her dam's-dam and damsire?
Lots to like about this filly. She looks to have decent bone and a nice shoulder. She is down hill and she does have sickle hocks but her hocks appear to be nice and low. She is a little tied in at the knee.
She has a lot of butt and her neck is very babyish.. it will be interesting to see how she develops.
I too expect she will always be a bit down hill. You won't know about jumping until she is about 4 years old. I suspect she may hang her knees but it is too early to tell.
i aggree, as her dam is also bum high. She is N/N for HYPP. & here's a link to her pedigree: http://i49.tinypic.com/7146k7.jpg
her colouring is buckskin. she does have some leg barring but no dorsal stripe.
Oh, really? Perhaps it's just countershading I'm seeing.
