Hello,

Photobucket.com has recently changed its terms of service for free users on their platform. As of June 20 images hosted by Photobucket and shared on our forum, or any other third party sites, will no longer appear. As a result, you may notice a higher amount of broken images on the forum.

If you do not have access to edit your older posts please contact an Administrator or Moderator for assistance. Please provide the new URL for the image that needs to be edited and a link to the thread the image in located in.

More information on the change and what it means for Photobucket users can be found below.

Thank you

To add:
If you have multiple broken links that need to be removed its easier for us to deal with them if you use a Talk to the Team thread to list them on
If there are several photos in a post then list the links to the new photos in the order that they need to appear in on the post

Again, thank you for trying to help. I just want to clarify what you're suggesting.

Here's my example- my member journal is roughly 950+ posts, and almost all of them have a picture. That's probably about 900 individual posts with probably between 1-5 photos that are "broken." I had imagined I'd slowly start chipping away at re-uploading pictures as I get them transferred over to a new online host.

Is there a way I can do that on my own as I can fit it in (which I guess would mean old posts are able to be "editable" again), or do I need to create a thread for you to do that for every post?

I don't know how long it will be before the tech team have a fix that will replace what we're currently offering
At present its not possible for members to edit old posts so we're asking them to start a Talk to the Team thread and give us a shortcut link to the post with individual links to the photos on their new photo sharing site
If its just one or two photos you can report them and give us the links on the report but when there's a lot the T4 is way easier to deal with
Gottotrot (Spelling?) is working through her Journal with us so she can maybe give you some hints
Just bear in mind that we don't have a massive amount of time to spend on it so nothing will be instant.
I suggest work backwards from the more recent posts with broken links.

As a dev, adding the functionality to edit old threads shouldnt be that difficult, since the edit functionality is already there. It might be as easy as setting the expiration time to infinite. Maybe this could be grounds to have a talk with the tech team and ask for a quick fix of this so everyone can fix their own threads?

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
