A 2016 phone...yea, right about now it is paid for when they cost hundreds and hundreds outright but on a plan about 30 months financed...

Wonder how much of this SPAM is sent from your cell carrier itself...
HLG, I appreciate your speculation as to the "why", however you are totally incorrect in that speculation.
I don't have a phone payment contract, I buy my phones outright, and I am on my daughter's plan. The ad does not mention my service provider at all. Also, the spam ads that pop up and take over the Hf page are different, depending on the day/time. They all, however offer some miraculous offer of money should I be dumb enough to click on the link, which I can assure you, I'm not.
As I, and others here have stated, it ONLY shows up here in the forum, takes over the page, and can't be backed out of. I (we) have to completely close our browser to get rid of it. Which is why we report it. My cell phone is my entire means of communication, via calls and internet. I don't have internet access out here in the boonies, and use my laptop maybe once a year. To do that, I have to tether it to my phone to get internet.
However I'm very happy that you don't seem to experience any of the problems myself and others have mentioned in this thread. 👍👍 I truly appreciate the HF tech team's diligence in rooting out and removing the spam links I and others report.

Sorry for the speculation that you explained clearly now to me....did not mean to insult nor was it ever intended in that way.

I won't contribute or offer ideas anymore since they seem to be....

Hope you find a resolution soon...
Good luck.

The worst day is instantly better when shared with my horse.....

I reported mine to my carrier(because I have gotten both kinds....clearly the most recent were tied to my cell phone carrier). I think I had the Adblocker blocked(SO tech-y!,!) , and the girl at my cell store got it fixed for me, and Iím not even going to jinx it....

I DO have to re-log in now EVERY time now, even if I just take 5 minutes to read a thread. That is WAY better than the pop-ups!!!

I don't break horses, I FIX them!
