bad hair cut!!

I totally messed up when i cut my arab/pinto's tail. it was okay length when she had it lying flat against her butt and i only cut like 2 1/2 inches off... but it kind of slipped my mind that she holds her tail up most of the time (the arab in her) and now it doesn't look so good :/ is there anyway to grow it out fast? i've heard of MTG and this other feed or something i don't remeber what it was called, it was something that was like a flour of seed.... idk

any help or ideas are appreciated, thanks

Time. I cut my horse's tail too short once, and within a couple of months it looked great again.

You're thinking of flax seed. It can be mixed in the feed either whole or ground up (if ground up, it needs to be freshly ground when you feed it as it doesn't keep well).

I second that! Also if you can make the bottom a bit more uneven (NOT choppy) and feathery, it would help if you kept her tail braided while it grows out too. A nice loose braid a little tight at the bottom looks just fine even with a botched haircut

Yep, I'd just braid it and wait it out...you can try MTG, but it's messy and doesn't smell too great. It did work for me, but it still just takes time. :/

A agree with everyone who said 'time'. I once cut my mare's tail off up to her hocks back in middle school. Straight across... It was cute at first, looked very military-ish... but then I hated it... but after a few months it was growing out well and looked mostly normal... so yeah, just have to wait for it to grow...
