Dry Flaky MANE

My horse has a very dry flaky mane. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to treat this. ( part of his mane is gone he has been putting his head through the fence to eat the grass on the other side.

coconut oil is great for dry skin and for their hair you might want to try some of that!

I've also had great results with lavender oil. My mare had huge dandruff flakes coming off of her tail (like dime sized, it was scary!) and with a week treatment of putting the oil on daily her skin was back to normal!

Another suggestion is using dandruff shampoo.

i would use head and shoulders. After the winter and before the show season i always use it in my mares mane. it smells good too!

I love Alexis, Bindi and Maggie!
