Mane and tail growth
Hi! So this is a bit of a silly question. I board my horses at a horse trader’s farm. Because of this, I see many many horses ranging from day old colts to senior horses. I’ve noticed something fairly strange: all of the yearling colts have really nice, thick, full manes, but hardly any of the adult horses do. Is this just baby hair? Or is it that these specific colts have good genetics? Do yearlings hair eventually thin out when they grow into adults?
