My dark-in-the-winter-light-in-the-summer chestnut looks like he has the mange xD

It's horrible...he doesn't accept baths yet so hosing him down isn't an option. Nothing but curry and brush, curry and brush...

Wait! I'll fix it....

I used Black as Knight feed through supplement this year. So far my dark bay is still dark bay. He used to turn a nasty burnt orange. You have to start it before the sun gets strong, around March, but it might still work if your horse isn't completely bleached out yet. I do wish he would finish shedding.

My boy is pretty much 'black' but right now looks like he's got some kind of skin disorder, especially on his barrel, because of all his winter clingons...Lol!

My Mother in Laws Palomino mare looks horrid right now. She's all splotchy with winter fur. Every time we go out to groom or anywhere she has rolled, it looks like some strange creature "blew up" in the field. LOL

Jack's looking pretty even right now. He has a thin layer of fluff still left.
Bonnie's still looking hairy. I need to attack her with a shedding blade soon :P

my horse was for a long time! ugh. but i put her in the pen everyday and it had been raining and she rolled in the mud...which actually made her shed faster. lol. lots of brushing and baths is all i can say.
