Another possible colic issue in old mini donkey

We have an older mini donkey that is having a possible blockage problem in his small intestine. Doesn't exhibit the normal colic signs. Won't eat, foul odor coming from mouth and not pooping. Ok signs but not rolling, down or biting sides. Vet has been out 2 days to tube, give fluids, antibiotics and pain medicine. Blood panel was normal but kidneys were a little off which he attributes to dehydration. This morning he ate a carrot and very little of feed. But did want to go outside. He did poop last night. So we gave him some Banamine and turned him out under watchful eye. We will have to make a hard decision tomorrow if no improvement. Any other suggestions? We did an ultrasound and showed some enlargement of the small intestines. We have a great vet that I have total faith in!

It sounds like enteritis, or inflammation of the small bowel. One of my mares had that. She was very sick & it came on fast.
She required constant decompression of the stomach with a nasal tube, tons of fluids, antibiotics, pain meds & hospitalization. She fully recovered.

I hope for the best for your donkey.
