I have recently had very, very good results with Thia-cal. It's a liquid supplement the Finishing Line makes.

If you are talking about calming a horse for a show, Chill is what we use.

What is chill and where do you get it? Got a pretty hyper horse.

Chill is product with valerian as the calming herb. In Canada, Greenhawk sells it, in the states I think Dover carries it. Lots swear by valerian, I don't know, never tried it on a nervous horse.

I am not here to promote anythingNo, that's not true, I am here to promote everything equestrian and everyone enjoying horses!

Is this for a show or ongoing?
Big differences in what to use. I would add magnesium to your feeds as a deficiency can cause nervous/anxious behaviour, same as in humans.
Feed a higher percentage of roughage rather than grains and provide as much turnout as possible, preferably in a herd or small group.
Training plays a huge part - training and exposure to multiple situations on a regular basis will be your best friend.
Good luck!!

I use Purina Strategy Healthy Edge, it gives them energy without making them hot. I have Arabians and it works for me! Thomas Moore feeds have a Calm feed, but I haven't tried it.
