Cimetidine For Melanoma

Hi all...my grey has a large number of melanoma all over his body and the vet wants to start him on Cimetidine...well, for the rest of his life to help shrink the tumors. Itís $170 a month for these pills so Iím wondering a couple things here...

1. Has anyone else has success in reducing melanomas with ccimetedine?
2. Does anyone know of a more affordable way to get my sweet boy 2400mg of it per day?
3. Curious if anyone knows if thereís a powder form of this stuff vs. pillls?

Thank you !

We use cimetidine and MSM to reduce Melanoma tumor size. It has worked from some small tumors under our mare's tail (shrunk them by half) but for other tumors (she has 1 on her eyelid) it made no noticeable difference at all. We give a double dose of MSM every day as well as Cimetedine 3 X day.

Thank you for the reply!

I'm curious, what times do you give the cimetidine? I'm reading that a 3x a day dose is the way to go, but how on earth do I get my horse his dose at 1am when he's at a barn 30 min away :/

We feed pretty early in the AM - between 5 and 6 and then feed again at about 1 and them again about 7-8 the vet said we were good with this timing

It may be harder if your horse is not at home.
