Cosequin ASU vs. Platinum Performance CJ

I bought my newest horse in January. The seller never told me that he was on any kind of supplements but, when she dropped him off, she handed me a bottle of joint supplement she'd been giving him (I can't think of the brand off the top of my head, but I didn't recognize it). I've used up what she gave me and now I need to buy some new. A couple of other boarders at the barn use PP CJ and rave about it, but I've seen it compared to Cosequin ASU quite often in blogs and reviews. I don't mind spending the extra money for PP CJ if it's worth it. Just thought I'd get a few opinions.

Thanks!

If it were me, I wouldn't get any more and speak to my vet as to why the horse was on it and if it needs to be on it. If you got no explanation as to why the old owner was feeding a joint supplement, I would want to see if it made any difference with the horse not on it.

Did you have a PPE done? Were any lameness/arthritic changes found? What are you doing work wise with the horse? I wouldn't want to be throwing money down the drain on something that isn't needed to maintain your horse's comfort, not even on the say-so of the previous owner but just accepting the fact that he was already on it as him needing it.

I want to wake up and find a world in remission,
Free from the grasp of the human condition.
