Thank you so much guys!
This morning she had pretty much taken her home made hoof boot off, great! So, as I took her out she kicked it off with glee.. walked her for half an hour, swelling in her leg was pretty much gone, and my friend's farrier turned up (unable to get hold of mine grr) and he looked.. its pretty much clear, but now NOT an absess.. he said she has no pain in the hoof, its out of the coronet band so likely a grain of sand caused it... Cut away at it (Duffy was SOOO impressed) and said keep up the walking, bathing and rivanol with a poultice and she should clear.
Still waiting for vet to come out, spoken to YO and she thinks the antibiotics are still required, she said if you leave it too long between injections the infection can flare again.. either way, will see what vet says this afternoon!
OH and the cow REALLY tried to kick my dad.. although I appreciate she's in pain she';s getting a bit handy with those hind legs... lead rope wrapped round her neck and a bit of impromptu ground work and she stood beautifully ;D
Will let you all know what the vet says
Again, big thank you to all your kind thoughts for my Duffy!!
