Equine Dentistry 101 = Bitting

From a dental point of view bitting is so very important. Just picking a bit because you like it, or a friend says this is what I use, can get you in a lot of trouble and injure your horse. When buying a new horse you need to have the mouth checked. The wrong bit can cause injuries, things like High Port Palate Damage, Scarred Tongue, Cheek Damage and Pouchy Flesh Damage just to name a few. So just because a bit works does not mean it is the correct bit. So take your time and do it right then you and your horse can be comfortable. Equine Dental Service. Panama Central America.
