ERU Advice/Fly Mask
I have a 22 y/o paint gelding, retired & pasture boarded who is struggling with ERU. We are on a 3x daily medication regimen, experienced a hospitalization a few months back, and are showing no signs of slowing down. We're seeing an equine ophthalmologist tomorrow, but we're at a loss for what else to do. He's always worn a fly mask while out, and now only wears a 90% protection or higher mask. Thankfully he is not blind in either eye yet...but has definitely lost vision in both. We are considering an implant (assuming it is suggested).
I'd greatly appreciate any advice members have to share including tips/advice for diet lifestyle that would keep ERU attacks at bay
