One of the fillies at my ranch is 3 months old and hasnt lost her embillical cord yet. A pocket of skin has formed over her embillical cord and you can feel the cord srill their. Is this common??

well, she may grow out of it, if thats what it is. usually 12 months you'll be able to tell if it'll go away or not. depending on the size. the owner should have her checked by a competent vet and follow their advice on what to do.

my fillies was on the larger size and i wasnt willing to risk losing her to an impactation or colic or the hernia closing on the intestine sticking through the hole. so i took her to have surgery last thursday, and brought her home today.
