If I had this horse, I would be taking his temperature 2X a day. Horses can develop cellulitis after a leg injury. It can be life threatening and requires very aggressive treatment. [Think of the old term 'blood poisoning' that caused so many amputations from Civil War time up to the invention of Penicillin.]
