Well its very good that she did bloodwork and an xray so far. I personally think you should give her time again. Working her on hard surfaces will definately impede the healing so keeping her on grass and sand will really help. Is there any way you can do a short video of her walking around for us to see?

You can just post a short clip on here of her walking then jogging. It might help us better decide how sore she is etc. Sometimes more than one set of eyes are good when it comes to picking out subtle differences.

Hey, its been a while since I said I was going to put a video up. I went down to video her a few days later as I had rested her for a week and she was fine, no lameness. Have left her since then and have not done anything with her apart from groom. Trotted her up and down in straight lines about a week ago and she was fine so calmly lunged her yday and a bit today and no lameness at all. When I was sorting out her feed I heard her galloping around, looked out and she was giving it some serious galloping and bucking so fingers crossed she's there thanks to all of you for all your advice!!!!! Wow, the Horse was with you on that one; I'm so glad that she's ok!

I trust that you'll never naively accept that vet's judgments/orders again, without getting a second opinion.

If you're friendly with the property owners, then you should feel comfortable telling them what happened with their vet, & how you thus must insist upon getting a second opinion (or preferably skipping that vet altogether)! If they're caring people, they'll agree!

Oh and yeah I spoke with the property owners and they agreed with me and said they were disappointed with her and so we won't be using them again

Just a dumb question, but wouldn't sand and soft surfaces be harder on the tendon that firm surfaces?

I don't think tarmac is healthy either because of the concussion. But I am thinking a leg sinking into sand might be worse? What do you guys think? Maybe this is just a dumb question on my part.

There's a lot of stupid out there!

No its not at all! I was thinking tarmac would support it so it couldn't be pulled although surely it would be a shock? But like u said sand sounds worse because the tendon could be pulled different ways but then its softer?!
