How long does it take for a wolf tooth to completely grow in?

My poor baby has two wolf teeth. :(
I got her in October of 09 and then she wasn't responding to the bit too well but at least she was responding some. So, I haven't ridden her in awhile due to all the snow. About two weeks ago I finally got the chance to ride her and she wasn't responding to her bit AT ALL. She was just bobbing her head sharply up and down.
So, I researched a bit, called my vet, blah blah blah. I checked to see if she's got any wolf teeth and she does. :( Two, actually. I had my mom help me look. I just called my vet and left a message.
OKAY, now to the question! Actually I've got two.

1) Was my horse not responding to the bit too good because she could've had her wolf teeth then or could it be because she's only five years old?

2) Have you ever had your horse sedated and get their wolf teeth yanked out? If so, how did it go?
