Mane falling out?
Luca used to have a hideous irregular mane, but with lots of care, I managed to get it all on one side, short-ish and neat. But about a month after Luca began to get covered (winter was coming along), his mane suddenly started to lose a lot of hair, but only one portion of it, about 10cm near the withers. After a few weeks, all of the portion of mane was gone. After a little while, that area developed loads of dry, flaky skin.
I'm thinking that the neck piece of the cover rubbed that part of Luca's mane and it's still rubbing, causing the dry skin. The neckpiece can't be removed, though...Could it be something else? Is there anything I can do to reduce the amount of dry skin?
Thanks.
