Ok so I just recently got an of the track thoroughbred. When I picked her up I asked what she ate but the people were not very specific just 11% sweet feed and how much she ate is what I got from them. I ended up getting the southern states legends performance sweet feed, because it is also a 11% feed. I am worried that something might be up. I have been feeding her the same amount at around the same time she was fed when at the track, but she has not pooped much today. I went to the barn this morning and there was some manure and a lot of pee. This afternoon there was no manure, but still plenty of pee. She has been eating her hay and feed as well as drinking her water. she also passed gas this afternoon when I was there. I'm just a little worried about her since I know that making quick change in feed can cause problems for them. I plan on calling the vet in the morning if there is still no poop.

Can depend on how much forage it is getting as you didn't say but a horse poops about every 2 hours. Is it getting exercise? That can help

I give her four flakes of a mixed hay two times a day. The flakes are very compact so she always has hay left over from the previous feeding. I have been putting her out for twenty minutes. She was stalled 24/7 so I am trying to get her used to being turned out again. Also I haven't left her out while I'm not there. The farrier has not been able to come out yet so I can get her racing plates pulled and I don't want her getting injured.

Being stall bound will constipate them. I wouldn't give her anymore to eat if she isn't pooping. Don't know anything about racing plates but I am assuming grass is slippery. Do you have a paddock or arena you can turn her out in?
I would say a minimum of 2 hours a day for turn out. Hand walking and lunging would be my next option

I was worried about her being constipated, but since she passed gas wouldn't that mean she is not constipated. Racing plates have toe grabs in the front that can cause a lot of damage if she were to knock herself in turnout. She has been going out in a round pen, because there has been some rain lately and the ground is kinda slippery.

I'm constipated and I still have gas lol if she's in a stall and your not seen a lot of poop that means she isn't pooping regardless if she's farting
