My horse has arthritis in his hocks and gets hock injections once a year. He was injected about 2 months ago and is still a bit stiff. I was thinking of trying pentosan and wanted to know everyone else's experiences with this. Thanks!

I have used Pentosan with great results. I have 2 horses on it, as well as 2 dogs. It's been a miracle for one of my mares and her recovery from a life - sustaining injury/illness.

If you're going to go the IM route I would go with Adequan, from what I've seen it works the best and is worth every penny. I show rated hunters and I'm at a big show barn so a lot of the horses at my barn are on some sort of joint support.

Thank you for the responses. I have also used adequan but it is currently unavailable. I am trying to look into other ideas such as the pentosan.

Pentosan seems to work just as well as adequan. When it went off the market, my clinic was giving Pentosan as the replacement. Most have not switched back to adequan because they are seeing the exact same results, for a more affordable price.
