I voted yes. Although I only have shoes on her front feet. She is not balanced withough the shoes, and she gets terrible stone bruises if barefoot, (as in very lame). She is ok with her hind feet, it's just the fronts.

Since I got a good farrier, who put thicker shoes on her fronts, Christy has stopped having back pain, has stopped bucking (as much :? ,) and trots, gallops and plays in her corral a lot! I have also discovered since she has proper shoes that she is gaited! Yipee! She has an intermediate 4 beat trot. :D Super smooth, and super fast. :D

It's great when they can go barefoot. But sometimes they need shoes.

I voted yes too. :D

Petra has shoes on all four, Meg just has shoes on the front, although she does have the most amazing, strong feet so could probably go without, (will discuss that with my farrier when he comes) And Willow did use to be barefoot, but my farrier recommended shoeing him as his feet were in a terrible state when I first got him. He had suffered badly with Laminitis, and has weak hooves, always seemed to be getting absesses, so he has all four shoes now. Who knows later it may change, but thats mine for now. :D

I voted "no". My mare is 27 and retired in her pasture. She has always had really good feet and she's doing fine now barefoot. She did have shoes on when I was showing her but I see not reason to keep shoes on her now. We have a miniature pony for the kids too but I don't think horse shoes come that small do they? Those would be some darn cute shoes!
