Found pics from when I got Gem...it wasn't too pretty

I posted my story on another thread and found pics of when I first got Gem from the front yard of a 16 year old who was harmless in his way, but completely ignorant. Didn't know a horse needed to see a vet for vaccines. Anyway....that was 2 1/2 years ago and I guess I didn't realize what she looked like until I looked back today. I knew she was under weight and under loved, but man what a difference. It took me a looooong time, but she has finally just this spring dropped her last wall and I now have her entire heart as she has mine. Wanted to share.

Thanks guys! She has come a long way not jsut in looks, but she has really opened up and let me in. This spring was a big break through. It was like she looked at me and said "well, I guess I believe you now - you won't throw me away like everyone else"

She has more attitude than you can imagine and lets me know when she disagrees with my plans, but I love her all the more for it!!
