I think he is my everything <3

I can honestly say rescuing him was the best decision of my entire life. A very long journey took place, starting from him kicking me, to him laying down on command if I ask. From him bucking with a saddle, to galloping bareback. From a bitted bridle, to bitless. From trotting poles to jumping 3 1/2 feet bareback (:

I came away from the pasture crying many of times, wondering if I should give up, but... I never did. And now Rusty, is the best horse I could ever imagine. He follows me around the pasture like a puppy dog now (: He gives me hugs and runs up to greet me (: He is my entire life. And to think that he was an ugly, skinny, un-broke horse, is crazy.

Yes, lol, I know our jumping may be bad but I've never had a trainer...

Anyway, this is Rusty, he's 6 years old, 14.2 hh and pure Arabian, and the love of my life.

First day he was brought home.

A few weeks ago

Two of my favorite photos of him

My laying by him on his second time laying down on command

Jumping our highest, and bareback. (remember, my riding is probably bad as I haven't had a trainer)

He is a good resting place

Kisses!

He sleeps when I make him lye down...

Tug of war

Lol, I love how he landed <3

And I have about one billion more photos

Very happy for the both of you :) The pictures are very sweet and full of character as well! So glad you stuck too it, going home from the pasture crying and frustrated are some of the hardest things to get through, shows a lot of determination to get through it.
Best wishes for more time to the both of you! Keep on getting better, sky's the limit ^^

paintluver, Thank you very very much (:

Tianimalz, Yup, crying when leaving the pasture always is horrible. You feel like you have let the horses and yourself down... But now, I usually come home from the pasture laughing and smiling (: He never ceases to make me happy (: Thank you so so much, I appreciate the sweet words (: I never thought he would turn out like this... But he did... Thank you very much again (:

Thank you more than I can say for posting the photos and your story!

For me, it's all about the relationship/bond between me and my horse. I'd say that you must feel the same way...

Thank you everyone (: I really appreciate all the kind words (:

Radiowaves, For me its not always about going to shows, getting first place, buying expensive new stuff, but its about the bond and trust between me and the horse... Yes, I feel the same way (:

VanillaBean, Thank you (: You and your horse also look very beautiful together (:

csimkunas6, Oh, ohh, your little Rodeo is also very adorable! I love him (: Patience is what always seems to work... patience, and self control is highly needed when working with a horse... Giving up was an option, but I just couldnt give up on such a sweet heart (: Glad you and your boy are happy off <3
