Yesterday it snowed here!
I had never ridden in the snow before last year and last year it only snowed once so I only rode in the snow once.
Happily, this year it finally snowed. We only got maybe 3 inches but it was enough to ride in! I was so excited. lol
Other interesting fact: Lacey, though she hates falling snow, appears to REALLY like riding in the snow. I forgot about this and was all like "Oh! I'm just gonna ride her in her bitless bridle because she's been being so good!"
I had intended to go for a nice leisurely ride but Lacey decided that running was in the cards. I forced her to walk a bit but I let her run enough that she felt like she had done some work, or whatever she wanted to feel like. haha
Anyway, it was lovely. Supposedly we're supposed to get 5 inches overnight tonight but who knows...
Lacey's field right after the snow stopped falling:
"Do you see ALL this snow? Imma freeze to death!"
First ones down the road...
(20 minute sassy chunk with no pictures)
Our galloping hill:
Our footrpints from walking to my "mounting block" (aka a giant rock), plus our shadows.
Apparently we both drag our feet. lol!
Back home. "Aren't you getting off now??"
"Ahhh! The light! It's too bright!"
"I am an old woman! I need my blanket! Are you TRYING to kill me?"
"Thank goodness for my blanket. Now where's my DINNER!!!"
I am getting SO close to touching this llama. it's now happy to eat out of this bucket while I'm holding the bucket. When I first started keeping Lacey there, it took months to get this one to even eat off the other side of a flake of hay that I was holding.
I can't wait to tell it's owners "Oh, by the way, I tamed the brown llama. Thought you ought to know."
MuckBoots plus their very first snow!
