My Whiskey

I started riding last August and this is my boy Whiskey. I nearly sold him this spring but decided to stick it out and get through my lack of confidence. I'm glad I did, I think he is beautiful.

I love paints too. Yours is pretty. I also named my horse Whiskey! He is a pretty sorrel with a white face and two white legs. He is a sorrel Arabian cross with white splashes.

handsome boy, I am partial to Paints..I have a soft spot for them :)

Horses and children, I often think, have a lot of the good sense there is in the world.

Well he is at my girlfriend's folk's place and as you can tell, no one misses any meals around there! Unfortunately, we only get up there once a week or every other week to ride so my time with him is limited.

My confidence has grown exponentially this spring and I'll be riding him far more often and for longer periods of time this summer. Whiskey was in a pasture alone by himself for nearly 2 years before I got him. I love to pick ticks off him, bring him up to the yard to give him lawn mowing duties or just brush him down. Oh, and his cheeks smell fantastic!
