Wet horses!

It's getting to that time of the year when everything is warming up! There's something so nice about seeing that transition from fluffy winter coat to sleek summer coat and polishing it off with the first-hose down of the year after a sweaty ride. Here's April from today.

Because I've got nothing better to do during the stay-at-home order: Share your favorite wet horse photos!

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of wet horses, I could put up a couple of very muddy horses and today if I had a camera I could have taken a picture of all the hair we groomed out of the white mare. We do her outside and there was a lot of white hair on the ground when we were done.

Hmmm....surprisingly hard to find. All the "wet" pictures I have are my girls looking like pathetic drowned rats from being caught out in nasty storms. Will keep looking!

haha, like this one:

I did shampoo Joker a month ago but he needs done again, and Rusty hasnít been done yet.

These two pics are two years old and DH is showering The Boys down for me. These were late summer evenings, when it was bloody hot and humidity was probably 200%:)

On the hot miserable nights, Joker is happy to get cooled down and doesnít always need a halter. Joker had ponied up to his water station, so DH started hosing him down while he drank water & ate salt.

Rusty always gets halterd but never gets tied. It must have really been a hot & miserable night for Rusty to stand there half asleep; he is not always fond of cold water on his hind quarter:)

A Good Horseman Doesn't Have To Tell Anyone; The Horse Already Knows.

After a ride...this was a couple years ago. Not a good picture at all but still.

No matter how much you think you know about horses, there will always be one that'll come along and teach you something new.
