13 yr old qh from Oklahoma

Hi y'all. I'm going to see a horse tomorrow. He's 13 years old and came from oklahoma and was used for working cows and going camping. Hea been out of work for awhile and has just been sitting in the pasture. He's got great ground manners and as of right now she said he would probably need to be put in a program for him to get back into shape and constant work before a beginner could get on him and go off by themselves. He's bulky and is built like a tank-- which I've been searching for. Uhm he is branded stands good for farrier and vet. He's also 15.2. And I think that's really it, anymore questions ask away. Tell me what ya think! Thxx.
edit- also they were asking $1200 but they will take alot lower because they would like him to find a home before winter.

Think of what? The description sounds OK but that isn't a lot of information to go off of and no pictures. Is he registered? How much is he selling for? Have you ridden him or seen him ridden? Out of work for a while means what - a month, 6 months, 3 years? How long has the current owners owned him? How much experience do you have?

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

Sounds kinda pricey to me when he needs to be re-conditioned, specially with the horse market in such a dump. I like his expression though, just has a sweet and honest look to it. Looks like he could clean up real nice, legs are a little shorter for my liking- but he sure is tank built like you said you wanted.

PSHAWW

Look a pretty pony!

He looks like a big, friendly, lovable kind of guy.

If he's good to ride, and has the kind of disposition you're looking for, and there's nothing wrong with him, then it seems like a good deal to me.

Not good pictures for confo critique, although he looks like he could stop a cow in their tracks :) . Sounds like a nice deal and with 30 days of solid riding he would be back on track so why not.
Make sure you have him checked out by a vet in any case.
