Talking Jumping position help!

I wish I could upload a video but the website is having some technical difficulties (very infuriating since it gets to like 99% and says "software error"), but yeah I've been riding for a little over a year now and am having some issues with my two point. My problem is that I "push with my shoulders"... I don't know if this is a widely used term but my shoulders move back and forth with the horses motion while I'm in two point, this also causes my legs to jut out infront of me leading to a chair seat. Do any of you have this problem? How did you fix it? Any critique/exercises to fix it would be greatly appreciated!

As you hold your reins, rest your knuckles lightly on the horse's neck. Then relax your shoulders so your arms move with the horse, but your loose shoulders decouple the movement from the rest of your body. The same goes for your legs and feet as they act as shock absorbers. One of the tricky parts of riding is to figure out which half of your muscles to relax and which half to "tone" (I don't want to say "tighten").

Looking at a lot of jumping videos really helped me. Before a lesson, I would always watch super carefully at how the person on the video jumped and how they got to their position; I would also occasionally watch other riders jumping at the stable instead. my instructor would have me practice the 2-point position a lot, just over small jumps and would feedback. Do you have a trainer/instructor? Having someone on the ground giving feedback really helps since they can see what could be affecting your position and help you to overcome that. If the website decided to work could we have a video?

I'm not sure what method you're using, but maybe just upload to youtube then link to the video here? :)

The sensitivity of the internet baffles me.
