Red face Canter help

I have been riding for many years, but on 14hh ponies. I have now started to ride a horse ( a 15.2hh 17yr. Pure Arab gelding), and find it difficult to sit to his canter. My instructor says that i have to 'sway'. Any tips?

Think of using a hula hoop. Your hips move independent of your rib cage and legs. Move in motion with the horse instead of against it.

my instructor always says its almost like a swing, but with smaller motions. if you don't go WITH the swing, you'll fall off or pop out of the seat. kinda the same thing with a horses canter.

I dont know if this makes sence but on my horse i had trouble cantering( going from a clydesdale to a appaloosa kinda makes sence) i just sat their and thought to myself , "sack of potatoes" i know it sounds funny but basically relax and imagine your a sack of potatoes! This worked for me, but the other suggestions are still really good!
