Question Arabian Mounted Native Costume

Just curious what type of footwear most folks wear to show Native Costume? I have worn my field boots, but they are a little bulky. I was thinking of getting some paddock boots, maybe?

Hee hee, most wear black paddock boots or cowboy boots, not Arabian Nights slippers.

I know, I just want some shoes like that myself.

But if I know me, I'd end up cleaning the barn in them .... I always do.

I would wear paddock boots but maybe find socks the same color as the costume to slip over the boots.

Love Avna's suggestion!

If I'm not mistaken @Tazzie should be able to give you a good answer.

As fun as Avna's suggestion is, hardly anyone (if there is anyone left that is...) wears slippers when riding in the Native Costume classes.

I, personally, wouldn't wear my actual tall boots when I show costume. I used to just wear my paddock boots with the pants I had made with the costume... but then my mare went through a bucking stage.

Now I ride in my half chaps and paddock boots with my regular breeches. Personally, I haven't seen anyone ride in slippers in a long, long time.
