It finally happened

Wow. Just wow.

This weekend was Chases first show and let me just say how ECSTATIC i am about how today has gone.

Yesterday afternoon we trailered him to the facility. I saw the jumps and my first thought was “there is absolutely no way i am making it over those fillers”

Schooling that night we had 0 refusals and just an absolutely perfect ride in general (minus his spook at hay bales thrown around the arena). We schooled a 2’6 course which is something i rarely ever get to do and made it over the oxers confidently. He really did take care of me.

This morning i was completely full of anxiety and nerves about my ride. After all this is his VERY first show. And our ride was definitely not perfect, i didn’t always remember to fix my leads, it was kinda fast, and i cut corners. But we made it around our little 18 inch course with no rails down and no refusals.

Tomorrow is a new day, new classes and a new arena. But i had to share how good it went!

Whatever a bridget is, it seems to have helped. Maybe I can get one too...
