How Big Should My Corral/Round Pen Be???

[b]Ok Well Im Just Getting A New Horse
And I Have Decided To Get A Round Pen(cause he's not fully broke).... So How Big Do You Think It Should Be?

Its not how big that matters, its what your footing is that counts. The softer the better for falling onto Mine is made up of 12 10' panels 1 walk thru gate which is 10' and a ride thru gate at about 4'. It has a nice soft sand floor about 5-6" deep.

if you expect your horse to canter in it it should be at least 60 feet in diameter, or it will cause extra stress and hurt your horses joints
