lol funny, that's what I've been hearing from a lot of people lately when I say that!!! Hey people, I didn't win the lottery...although no one has won mega millions yet and it's ridiculous high now!!! I'm going to need to go buy a ticket!

Tell you what Kim...if I win, I'll buy you the saddle of your choice!

I know that the Bates Caprilli comes in black. You might just have to search a bit to find a used one in your price range.
This is what it looks like:

It comes in quite a few different flap combinations aswell.

Thanks Lisa, love that! But so far the only used Bates I can find are way outta my price range!

Well everyone, I found my saddle!!! I got it new for a pretty good deal at a local tack shop! And they even threw in free leathers ($60 leathers) that matched since I bought the matching bridle too! Here is the saddle...(although my actual looks way darker than this photo shows it!)

Marcel Toulouse Premia Saddle - Dover Saddlery.

I get to try it out for 3 days as a trial so tomorrow I'm just going to use my old leathers and bridle (in case I need to return those if I for some reason want to return the saddle) and jump in it! I'm SO psyched! I rode in it today without stirrups (didn't have tube socks to cover the leathers yet!) and I loved it! And it fits Sandie great too!

hahah that's awesome I figured it would be easier to resell someday in brown, plus it's a really dark brown that I like, and then if I want to try out some hunter stuff this winter with my friend who does hunters, I'll have the brown tack to support it (esp if I end up really liking it and want to go further when it actually matters that I have brown tack)

I think that's great! I love the M.T Premia. Nelson's previous owner has that exact saddle, in black - and I borrowed it during an Eventing Clinic last summer. I didn't want to get out of it :)

Courbette has jumping saddles in black. The Magic isn't even that expensive new, around $800.

MIEventer you're going to laugh at me I thought I had the premia, and I went to the barn today to ride in it and realized I actually had the Legano jumping saddle (below) hahaha!

So long story short, the one I got didn't fit me, I need a 16.5" and they gave me a 17" AND I come to find that I also need a riser in order to FIT in the knee rolls correctly (go figure!)...I tried about 20 other saddles and had the SAME issue, so I know it's not just this one. SOOOO anyway I didn't figure that out until I went to another tack shop and THEY figured it out...they also price match there, but I couldn't remember which M. Toulouse I got, so they gave me a catalog and I thought it was the Premia. Well I get home where I have the tags from the first one and it says "Legano"! Ugh...so anyway, which is better in everyone's opinion?? They have to special order it in my size anyway and they've giving it to me new for $865.00...so which is more worth getting, the Premia or the Legano???

how exactly are your knees behind the knee rolls? I'm just trying to picture it so I can be of some help. haha. Do they not reach them? or are the knee rolls too flat?

Although I've never ridden in either, I really like the look of the Premia better. It seems like it has more support, both for your seat and for your leg.

Does it have a place to put thigh blocks?
